It’s officially Autumn… again! Time is flying fast but we are SO ready for sweater weather, apple cider, pumpkin patches, and fall festivals!
We’ve created a list of some festive family-friendly events happening around the East Bay (and a few in surrounding areas that we simply could not leave off of our list!)

Haunted Train Ride at Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont
“Spooky, not scary” and is meant for young children ages 12 years and under
Selective availability on weekends October 20-29
Thomas & Percy’s Halloween Party at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton
Family event for all ages that includes a 25 min train ride, Thomas and Percy entertainment, activities and games, arts and crafts, pumpkin patch, and more!

Harvest Faire at Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton
Includes a steam train ride through redwoods, a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, live entertainment, arts and crafts, gold panning, and more!

Pumpkin Patch Festival at Western Railway Museum in Suisun City
Scenic train ride to pumpkin patch at Gum Grove Farm, which has tractor rides, petting zoo, food and beverages, zip line, live music, and more!

Kids Town Halloween Hay Day in Downtown Livermore

Fairyland’s Halloween Jam at Fairyland in Oakland
Performances, rides, costumes, photo ops, and tons of activities.

Boo at the Zoo at Oakland Zoo
Self-guided scavenger hunt, decorations, and costume contest.

Dutch Hollow Farms in Modesto
It is worth the drive! Some of our favorites while we were there: zip line, bounce area, giant corn kernel pit, petting zoo (with baby animals), and pumpkin blasters.
